This is the perfect sugar-free and low-calorie natural alternative to other syrup sweeteners, such as corn syrup or rice syrup. Unlike other sugar-free syrups, it contains no artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, preservatives, or other garbage. Its sweetness comes from natural maltitol pressed from chicory root. It has only 9 calories per tablespoon (compare with 55 calories per tablespoon of corn syrup) and zero impact carbs. Its ultra-low glycemic index has earned it endorsement by the National Diabetes Outreach. Great as an all-purpose sweetener, it adds creaminess too and is ideal for baked goods, desserts, or simply to sweeten your coffee, tea, or just about anything else.
