Happy Joints is our premium Glucosamine and Chondroitin formula. It offers 1500 mg of Glucosamine HCL and 1200 mg of Chondroitin Sulfate per serving (three capsules) at a price well below other name brands and some generic brands.

Key Benefits

We use only Glucosamine HCL instead of sulfate for several key reasons. Although many formulas use Glucosamine Sulfate most research that has been done concludes that Glucosamine Sulfate is unstable when exposed to moisture and generally degrades. In an attempt to stabilize the product it also contains high amounts of Sodium and Potassium. This can pose a problem for a patient on a Sodium or Potassium restricted diet. Another problem associated with the sulfate varieties is that do not provide as much active Glucosamine. For example, the equivalent 1,500 mg dose of glucosamine HCL in the Sulfate salt is 2,095 mg. We use only Chondroitin Sulfate that is manufactured in the USA. There have been some problems with Chondroitin Sulfate manufactured in China and other Asian countries. In some cases dangerous chemicals have appeared in lab tests. In fact, the importation of Chondroitin Sulfate from China has been banned in Europe. If you are currently taking a product with Chondroitin in it do you know where it is from? We only use capsules for this preparation. Tablets are cheaper, but in some cases the amount of pressure used on the tablets prevents them from fully dissolving before they are excreted by the body, thus wasting the dose.
