The Animas® 2020 insulin pump is an advanced insulin management system that’s uniquely individualised to the user. Its design is not just the result of advanced medical and engineering technology – it’s actually based on feedback from people who have diabetes, just like you.

It’s important that your pump fits into your life. After all, it’s with you all the time, wherever you go. Like other pumps, the Animas® 2020 pump gives you freedom from injections, as well as the ability to quickly and easily adjust your insulin based on your body’s immediate needs. But unlike other pumps, the Animas® 2020 pump is designed with special features to make your life – and your control – easier in a way that’s precisely tailored to you.

Features:

- It can store the nutritional values of 500 of your favourite foods for easier carbohydrate counting, so you will have a more accurate delivery of your bolus wherever, whenever. This is more than a convenience
– accurate carbohydrate counting is key to good blood sugar control.
- The Animas® 2020 has the smallest basal dose available (0.025 U/hr, and 0.025U/hr increments), perfect for children and those who are insulin sensitive.
- The Animas® 2020 pump is the first and only insulin pump with a flat panel colour screen. It’s the same screen technology used in the latest televisions, digital cameras, MP3 players, PDAs, even virtual reality headsets. It’s high contrast for readability, viewable from a wide angle, and self illuminating.
- The Animas® 2020 pump is not just tested
– it’s overtested. Whether it’s a drop test, a waterproof test, or an electrostatic discharge test (to make sure your pump keeps working when it’s next to other electronic devices you may have), Animas® goes above and beyond industry standards to bring you durability you can have confidence in.
- Your body has different insulin needs throughout the day and night. That’s why, with the Animas® 2020 pump, you can optimise your dosing by choosing your own times for your insulin-to-carbohydrate ratios (I:C), Insulin Sensitivity Factors (ISF) and blood glucose targets (BG targets). This allows you to make your pump truly customised to you, to manage your diabetes better.
- Extended Battery Life. Uses one AA 1.5V lithium battery, lasting 5 to 7 weeks.
- Waterproof. Waterproof at 3.6 meters (12 feet) for up to 24 hours; ideal for swimming, showering or unexpected contact with water.
- Resistant to Static Electricity. Built with insulating materials, so it can fuction side-by-side with your other electronic devices without interruption to your insulin delivery (meets requirements of IEC60601-1 as modified by IEC60601-2-24)
- Protected Memory. Personal settings and pump history are safely stored in memory, even if batteries are removed for an extended period of time
